Every resident, regardless of age, is issued a Facilities Access Card. This card provides residents access to the clubhouse, pool, tennis courts and LCA activities.

 

The pool is really three pools: the main pool, a kiddie pool and a lap pool. All are accessed through the Clubhouse with a Lakelands Facilities Access Card. Men’s and women’s locker rooms have complete shower and changing facilities. The pool is managed by RSV Pool Management Company and is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Hours are 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. daily, except while MCPS is in session, during that time weekday hours are 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. The Snack Bar is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on school days). Each family receives 10 free guest passes each year. Additional guest passes can be purchased at the pool or Management Office for $2/guest.

 

Two lighted tennis courts are located next to the swimming pool. Pickleball lines have recently been added to one of the courts. The courts are locked and are accessible to Lakelands residents with their Lakelands Facilities Access Card. Reservations may be made for one (1) hour interval per unit per day through Skedda.com. Residents must register as a user in order to make reservations. To use the service simply request a Skedda invitation by emailing michele@lakelands.org. You will be verified as a Lakelands resident and receive confirmation by email, then visit Skedda.com or download the Skedda App, create a log in, and start making court reservations! The Fitness Center is located on the basement level of the Clubhouse and is equipped with exercise bikes, treadmills, a stair master, several weight machines, free weights and other exercise equipment. Use of the Fitness Center is free with paid assessment and is accessible to all residents, age 16 and over, with their Lakelands Facilities Access Card. Two gathering rooms are located on the first floor of the Clubhouse and are available for rent to all Lakelands homeowners, as well as persons who live in the Lakelands and rent from members who are current in their assessments. The Red Room accommodates 174 people and features a fireplace and flat screen television. The Green Room accommodates 164 people. A kitchen is adjacent to the Green Room and is available to both rooms. It features a double sink, full size refrigerator and microwave. There is a $300 security deposit to rent the rooms, and a $70/hour rental fee. A basketball court is located next to the tennis courts. The courts are locked and are accessible to Lakelands residents, age 12 and older, with their Lakelands Facilities Access Card on a first come first serve basis.

 

Several playgrounds and open spaces are located throughout the Lakelands, featuring fun attractions such as swings, bridges, slides, fountains, teeter-totters, as well as benches for adults and plenty of green space. Tot lots are open from dawn until dusk and can be found at:

·         Inspiration Mews at Golden Ash Way

·         Lakelands Drive and Gatestone Street

 

Adjacent to Lakelands, this City of Gaithersburg facility provides lighted fields for baseball, softball, soccer and other team sports, a picnic pavilion, skate spot and Billy’s Playground – a fully handicapped-accessible play area for young children.
